Factions Pre-Order from Best Buy
I was wondering if anyone knew the current situation on Best Buy's Factions Pre-Orders....I have the box, and nothing tells me about or well they didn't tell me about $10 of game price with pre-order or anything like that, and I didn't save the reciept since I've heard there taking $10 off with receipt, you think I could just take box in and get it done or what ?? Please help.......They screwed up big time unorganized and all >_<

You can try taking in the box and asking for a $10 off. But if that $10-discount offer wasn't there when you bought your copy, I don't know if they'll agree to it.

Doubtful, since you could have bought the box anywhere. I got my retail boxes today at Best Buy and the price was reduced by the pre-order cost of $10 each. So with the receipt it worked as it is supposed to.
I'm not sure how it is Besy Buy's screw up if you lost the receipt? Oh, and save the receipt for factions or anything else you buy at Best Buy. If they lower the price within something like 30 days, including a sale, you can take in your receipt and get refunded the difference. Typically they put games on sale within 1-2 weeks of release. |

This is an issue you will nedd to take up with Best Buy. In the end however it's up to you to keep the receipt since that's the way it works - the receipt is proof that you have paid money towards the game and they had receieved the money. Just showing up with a pre-order box does not prove you pre-ordered through them - all it proves is you have receieved a pre-order box through someone, or grabbed someone else's pre-order box...
If they accepted just the box as proof, whats to stop someone making sure they and all their friends get a discounted game by just going to different shops and showing the box and getting discounts off the game? If they allowed just the pre-order box as proof it would be abused and they would loose income from it.. thus they will never accept the box and will require a legal document to prove you actually paid a deposit at their shop - ie a receipt. Thread Closed as this isn't a Question that is directly GW related. If you have an issue with Best Buy, you need to take it up with them - they will be able to tell you the status of pre-order's and such, we can't. |
